about Me
I'm Jude Remedios, impressionist/abstract artist currently living in greater Nashville, Tennessee and painting my impressions of floral images & luscious landscapes.
Inspired by the beauty of nature that surrounds me but also by memories of growing up in Alberta, Canada (then later California & Vancouver, Canada), I strive to create images of peace and tranquility
In my newest painting creations I'm dripping & splashing liquid watercolor inks & India Ink onto blank canvas or paper using a variety of brush types, catalyst wedges, palette knives & even wooden twigs.
I rarely begin creating with a clearly imagined look of a finished piece. Instead, I love working with the spontaneous movement of inks and paint over a blank surface and always thrilled when my efforts begin
to reveal themselves as something
recognizable from nature's beauty.
